Oh my

This is a great one man!
Like hamstercake said, from the darker feeling to the happy, more up beat kind of feeling was excellent. Use of instruments as well. I don't think I've heard a better audio submission before.

It seems like it would be a great track for a silent flash, just the music in it and the animation. I can see it now, and it would be excellent... I wish you good luck in the contest or whatever this is made for... It's great man, keep at it... I have no doubt that you will win.

camoshark responds:

Lol, thanks alot, this is for brokendeck's NAC, but alot of the other submissions
on this contest are simply too good to make me believe I have a chance...

Thanks for the compliment anyways, I'll take it as it is!

Cheers,
Sauel Hébert

Okay.

I write this review as the song still plays.. My first issue with it is the very sudden start. It doesn't seem like the beginning of the song at all, so that's a pretty big issue. Since this is still in a rough state, I'd suggest you work on fixing that up.

From that point on, everything was fine, I really like the drums throughout the song... Until about 2m 13s, I really stopped enjoying it at that part, just the sound that is being made wasn't very appealing to me is all.

Basically, besides the parts where the guitar is doing that, the song is really good. My only suggestions are to work on an intro for it, rather than a very sudden start, it makes sense to have an intro to me... I mean the end of the song goes quiet, like it has an outro... Makes more sense to have one at the beginning though, just because of the sudden start like I said.

Whatever though man, besides that it's a solid track. Keep at it.

horsebugger responds:

thanks for the review, to be honest tho i was going for a sudden intro that just punches in, but i may possibly think about adding a quiet synth intro.

thanks again!!

You're good

You're a really good guitar player, Ryan.
I don't pay attention to mainstream music so I can't say that I've heard the original song, but I'm imagining that this is much better than the original one.
Quality is nice too, what do you use to record?
I'm not sure how to make a long in depth review with something like this, just keep doing what you do man... You're a talented guitar player for sure.

Ryanson responds:

Haha, my built-in microphono on this crummy laptop. Same thing I use to record everything for now.

Bangin'

This is really good man! Love the kick too!
Hardstyle isn't definitely my favorite music, but a genre I can tolerate for sure. Like the guy before me said, most music like this on Newgrounds is garbage, in my own personal opinion.
I wasn't expecting much coming in to this one, but as you said in your response "hardstyle is sort of just a "LOOK WHAT I CAN DO!" type of thing for me" ... You earned the bragging rights you mentioned, this shit makes me wanna dance and I hate dancing... So that's saying something.

The only thing I don't enjoy about it is the length, if you could make it an extra five minutes from what it is now, I'd be jamming to this daily... Keep at this man, you're real good at it.

SessileNomad responds:

i could easily make a 7 minute 'dj friendly' length track, thing is with tracks like that, people often dont liek how repetitive it can get

Well done

This is probably the favorite audio submission I have reviewed today!
I really enjoy the little story you have behind it in the description, definitely gives the listener a neat way of thinking of it while listening, however everybody hears and sees things a different way.

When the drums came in, I thought of Alan Parsons Project for some reason, haha! And they're brilliant, so I hope that means something to you when I say that, given you have heard of them.
This is an excellent song my man, don't stop doing what you're doing, ever. Music like this is worth money.

Birdinator99 responds:

lol you actually have no idea how awesome that is -- I've definitely heard of them. Don't worry, I plan to continue doing this kind of stuff.

Thanks very much.

Really nice

This wasn't bad at all, I have a soft spot for 'classical' music, although in a way I don't consider this to be under the classical genre, not sure what it would be, but as far as the genres on Newgrounds go, I believe it is labeled accurately.

Definitely sounds like it should be in some sort of game on this website, perhaps for a cutscene of a fantasy game, that's what I thought of the whole time while listening, although at first it reminded me of Harry Potter.

Real soothing though, not quite sad like SCTE3 said, just relaxing... I enjoy this a lot, keep up the good work.

callitsleep89 responds:

Thanks for the review! I think the inclusion of the celesta is what makes some people think of Harry Potter.

I wish the genre selections on newgrounds included subdivisions of classical type music, such as film score.

Unique..

At first I wasn't feeling this at all, mostly because of the heavy static at the beginning that SCTE3 had mentioned. After all that is over and dealt with, it gets very catchy.
Extremely well put together, I think I'd have a hard time mixing a track like this, so you definitely did a good job at that.
Somehow reminds me of a sort of song to be in a video game trailer, classic arcade style game, maybe like Castlevania or something... No idea why, but that's what I'm feeling!

Digging it though man, good stuff for sure. Looking forward to see what else you can come out with!

Kirbyfemur responds:

Well as i said with SCT i like dissonance, and it might come off as painful to others, so i am sorry that it hurts yourguys's ears. But you've sometimes got to push past a difficult part in order to get to that in which you might like rather than always having something out there that is only supposed to sound nice :3

Hell yeah

Had a lot of fun making this track man, turned out real good.
Hope everyone enjoys!

MaoDaMighty responds:

Hellz ye!

Diggin it

Aye, good track man. Delivery is great, love the flow. Sick beat.
Just saw your review on my one diss track, and thought I'd check you guys out.
Real talent, digging it for sure.
Look forward to future tracks!

Loving it

I love beats like this, and I've been looking everywhere for a free one. I'm a horrorcore rapper, this is a prime example of beats I need!
